The Carroll County Health Department and our partners provide many services to support the health and wellness of older adults in our community:

  • Adults who are at risk of going to a nursing home can receive evaluations and may qualify for services to help them stay living at home through the Adult Evaluation and Review Services (AERS) program
  • Eligible clients in Community First Choice and Community Options Waiver and Medical Assistance programs may receive visits from a nurse through the Medical Assistance Nurse Monitoring Program.
  • Older and disabled adults may receive volunteer services such as friendly visits, help with errands, and yard work through Caring Carroll. Volunteers are always welcome.
  • Check caregiver support groups in Carroll County for support group options.
