The Queen Anne’s County Department of Health Communicable Disease Program works to protect the community by limiting the spread of infectious diseases. Our team provides surveillance, investigation, and education to keep our residents safe and informed.
Our Services Include:

- Tuberculosis (TB) Control: Comprehensive screening, education, and treatment services.
- Disease Surveillance: We actively investigate reportable diseases as required by the Maryland Department of Health and the CDC, including:
- Tickborne illnesses (Lyme disease, etc.)
- Rabies exposures and investigations
- Foodborne illnesses
- Vaccine-preventable diseases
- Respiratory outbreaks (Covid-19, Influenza, RSV)
