DoIT uses Google Translate to provide language translations of its content. Google Translate is a free, automated service that relies on data and technology to provide its translations. The Google Translate feature is provided for informational purposes only. Translations cannot be guaranteed as exact or without the inclusion of incorrect or inappropriate language. Google Translate is a third-party service and site users will be leaving DoIT to utilize translated content. Dear Board Sponsors:

    • At this time, the BSWE Continuing Education Regulations remain in effect.   We are aware that the Board Authorized Sponsors' conferences, workshops, and trainings may have been cancelled, postponed, or under consideration.  Sponsors have been reviewing their options with some Sponsors already designating new training dates while others have postponed them awaiting further guidance from Governor Hogan.  Licensees will be contacting you directly to discuss your training plans and their options.
    • Some Board Authorized Sponsors may be in the process of changing their format from live conferences and trainings to live, real-time, interactive webinars to earn Category I CEUs (the CE Certificate should reflect this language).  One option is to offer short trainings - for example, 2 to 4 hours in this format making it easier for licensees to attend.   However, the Continuing Education Regulations for Category I learning activities must be followed as outlined in COMAR 10.42.06.05.E.
    • A template of the Continuing Education Certificate provided by Board Authorized Sponsors to Maryland social work licensees is posted on the Board's website on the CE web page (right column).  Please review your certificate and update as needed.  It must be on your agency/organization's letterhead.
    • As a reminder, if you are providing training on Ethics or Supervision, please include this designation on the certificate so that it is clear to all parties.

    Thank you
