Licensure Information for Military, Military Spouses, and Veterans


​The Veterans’ Auto Education and Improvement Act of 2022 (VAEIA) -

  • This allows eligible active military members and military spouses who have received orders to relocate to a specific jurisdiction to have their existing license recognized in that new jurisdiction.

  • You must provide military orders and apply in the jurisdiction where you will reside.
  • You must have a criminal history record check completed through the Maryland Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS).
  • There is no fee for this application
