Pharmacy Jurisprudence Exam Update
Beginning on June 1, 2026, the Maryland Board of Pharmacy will allow pharmacist licensure applicants to choose whether to take either the Uniform Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (UMPJE) or the state MPJE as part of licensure requirements.
If the UMPJE is selected, pharmacist licensure applicants will also be required to take a Maryland-specific module similar in design to a CE program consisting of recorded materials and a competency assessment.
Details on the Maryland module will be provided within the next 30 days. Please check the board's website for additional details.
