​​​Distributor Renewal Update


The Board issued renewal notices on March 5, 2025, with a recommendation to submit completed renewal applications by May 1, 2025, to ensure uninterrupted operations. 
However, the Board,has received a number of applications that were either incomplete or sent very close to the deadline. These two factors have contributed to the current delay being experienced in the renewal process. 

The good news is that the board is allowing distributors to continue operations in Maryland while their renewal applications are under review.

We will contact you if any issues arise during the review of your application. Please note that applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received. Also please do not call or email asking about the status of your renewal, as that only further slows down the process.

​NOTICE TO DISTRIBUTORS


ALL DISTRIBUTOR PERMITS WILL EXPIRE MAY 31, 2025.
To maintain an active permit status, be aware that the distributor renewal application must be postmarked by May 31, 2025.  If the renewal application is postmarked after the deadline, a paper reinstatement application and fee of $3,250 ($1,750 renewal fee and a $1,500 reinstatement fee) will be required.

Maryland Implicit Bias Training Requirement: Definition and Resources​​​

​Pursuant to MD. Code Ann., Health Occ. § 1-225, all health practitioners must attest to completing an implicit bias training program approved by the Cultural and Linguistic Health Care Professional Competency Program on their first license renewal after April 1, 2022.​​
