Welcome to the website of the Queen Anne's County Department of Health.
Our regular hours of operation are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday except for State Holidays and State Special Weather Closings.
We provide a wide range of health services to the community. The mission of the Department is to be a resource to the community in meeting public health needs.

Brice Strang, MSHA​

Health Officer of the Queen Anne's County Department of Health

  • Brice brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this role. With over 10 years of service in public health, including his recent tenure with the Dorchester County Health Department, Strang has demonstrated leadership in a variety of public health initiatives. His background also includes a career with the U.S. Army Reserve, where he served as a Company Commander and Medical Service Corps Officer, responsible for the planning and execution of medical operations and emergency missions. Strang serves on the board of directors for Mid Shore Behavioral Health and previously served as the co-chair of the Delmarva Regional Healthcare Mutual Aid Group.​
  • ​Strang holds a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. His extensive experience in public health operations, fiscal management, and emergency preparedness, as well as his knowledge of the Eastern Shore region, are invaluable assets in this role. His leadership in managing public health programs and responding to crises, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, has earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the communities he serves.​​
