2021 Authorized Foods List Submission Period Now Closed!

The Maryland WIC Program is updating its Authorized Foods List and the submission period is now over and closed. The submission period ended March 26, 2021. 

The following items require submission and review to be included in the 2021 Authorized Foods List:

  • Cereal – Hot (11.8 ounces and larger) and Cold (12 ounces and larger)
  • Juice for Children – 64 ounce containers
  • Juice for Women – 11.5 to 12 ounce Frozen Concentrate containers
  • Juice for Women – 48 ounce containers
  • Whole Wheat/Whole Grain Bread (16 ounce packages) and Rolls (15 to 16 ounce packages)
  • Soft Corn & Whole Wheat Tortillas – 16 ounce packages
  • Whole Wheat/Whole Grain Pasta – 16 ounce packages
  • Barley, Bulgur and Oats – 16 ounce packages
  • Tofu – 12 to 16 ounce containers
  • Soy Beverage – Half Gallons (refrigerated) and Quarts (shelf stable)
  • Yogurt – 32 ounce containers

The current version of the Authorized Foods List is dated October 2018. Additional food items that have been approved for purchase since the last printing can be found HERE​. The latest update to this list is dated 2/23/2021, please ensure you have this last edition.
