Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD):
At least five of the following symptoms must be present during the week preceding the onset of menses:
- depressed mood,
- anxiety,
- affective lability,
- irritability,
- decreased interest,
- difficulty concentrating,
- lethargy,
- change in appetite,
- hypersomnia or insomnia,
- sense of being overwhelmed, or
- physical symptoms.
At least one of the symptoms must be depressed mood, anxiety, affective lability, or irritability. The symptoms must cause distress or impairment.
