UPDATE:
The CNA emergency regulations have been approved, effective April 3, 2026, and are set to expire September 30, 2026.
The Maryland Board of Nursing,
in accordance with
House Bill 1125 / Chapter 818
of the 2024 General Assembly session, has sought pending approval for emergency and permanent regulations regarding Certified Nursing Assistant redesignations. You may reference the proposed regulations in the
March 6th register
.
