The Maternal and Child Health Bureau conducts a statewide needs assessment every five years. The assessment identifies state maternal and child health priority issues and related national performance measures and provides direction and guidance on Title V activities for the next five years.
The framework for the 2025 MD Title V MCH Needs Assessment focuses on a life-course approach driven by a whole-person integrated approach, health equity, social determinants of health, inclusion of racism, family and consumer's voice, and ensuring a data-driven and evidence-based approach.
