Arthritis Committee

This Arthritis Committee is responsible for contributing to the goals of the Council by developing an action plan with measurable outcomes, utilizing data to identify priorities. Core goals of this committee include: (1) Disseminating educational information among Marylanders experience arthritis and their families. (2) Promoting the benefits of physical activity programs as a means of improving the lives of people with arthritis and also make these programs more available to the public. The Arthritis Committee has identified strategies to sustain and expand communication dissemination related to Arthritis-Appropriate Evidence-Based Interventions (AAEIB’s) available in Maryland. This educational campaign will result in increased physical activity counseling and referrals to evidence-based programs.
