Maryland Department of Health Alcohol Program

About Us
Welcome to the Maryland Alcohol Program

We are here to help all Marylanders understand alcohol use and live healthier lives. We work to share clear information about alcohol, its effects, and how to prevent problems. Our goal is to make Maryland a safer and healthier place for everyone.

About Our Work

The Maryland Alcohol Program works with communities and health experts across Maryland and the U.S.,  gathering and sharing information about excessive alcohol use. We use data to help us learn about drinking patterns, prevent harm, and support programs that keep our families and neighborhoods safe. MDH’s efforts are part of the larger mission of the Maryland Department of Health to improve public health for all.
