Notice to Applicants
Please be advised that the Art Therapy application forms posted on the Board’s website from September 25, 2025, and October 15, 2025, were incorrect versions.
Applicants who downloaded or relied on those versions during that period are required to re-download and complete the correct applications, which are now available on the Board’s website.
Please note that "Internship" or "Internship-related courses" does not fulfill the "professional, legal, and ethical responsibilities" requirement of COMAR 10.58.17.04(2)(i), and "Thesis Writing" or "thesis" or "writing related courses" does not fulfill the "research and evaluation" requirement of COMAR 10.58.17.04(2)K).
The Board issues the following credentials pertaining to the practice of art therapy:
Licensed Clinical Art Therapist (LCPAT) and
Licensed Graduate Art Therapist (LGPAT).
LGPAT: Licensed Graduate Professional Art Therapist License
LCPAT: Licensed Clinical Professional Art Therapist License
