BECOME A BODY DONOR

COVID-19 NOTICE

Notice Extended until June 15, 2020

The State Anatomy Board has transitioned to limited operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, effective 4/8/20 the State Anatomy Board is unable to accept any new donors. If you have sent a donation form that arrives on or after 4/8/20, then the form will be held on file and processed when normal operations resume. This notice is in effect for the next 45 days, at which time the State Anatomy Board will re-evaluate the situation and resume normal operation or extend limited operation as appropriate.

At this time, acceptance of a donor who has passed away is restricted to only our willed donors who are pre-registered and does not have probable or known COVID-19. We regret that for the safety of staff, the State Anatomy Board is unable to accept a donor who has passed away with probable or known COVID-19. Families of those individuals should make arrangements with the funeral establishment of choice for their loved ones.

The State Anatomy Board hopes to resume normal operations as soon as the current situation resolves and is grateful for the generosity of our donors and the support of the citizens of Maryland.
