The new dashboard, which replaces document-formatted reports, allows users to view and analyze data collected by OP&R's Preparedness Surveillance & Epidemiology Team (PSET) on illnesses related to the state’s heat and cold seasons.
- Cold-Related Illness Surveillance data is provided from November through March, focusing on extreme cold conditions including temperature and wind chill, cold-related illness, and carbon monoxide exposure.
- Heat-Related Illness Surveillance Report is provided from May through September., focusing on extreme heat conditions including temperature, heat index, and heat-related illness.
The dashboard is updated every Wednesday, with data on emergency department (ED) visits, emergency medical services (EMS) calls and weather-related deaths.
