Vendor Approval - How does a vendor get approved to teach the 80-hour Assisted Living Manager (ALM) course?
A vendor seeking to offer the 80 hour Assisted Living Manager (ALM) training course must submit the application, proposed curriculum, and training materials (COMAR 10.07.14.17B(1)) using the link below. A vendor may not advertise, promote, or enroll students in a manager training course without the prior approval of OHCQ.
A vendor is responsible for reviewing the new Assisted Living regulations (COMAR 10.07.14) effective as of April 28, 2025 and utilizing the new regulations to develop the course curriculum.

Vendors that are approved to teach the 80 hour ALM course are also approved to teach the 20 hour ALM refresher course. Once approved, any future substantive changes to the curriculum must be submitted to OHCQ for approval.
To request approval, complete and submit the Apply to Teach the 80 hour ALM Course form. The proposed curriculum and all training materials must be submitted with the application.
