Income and Asset Limits by Coverage Group and Program

​Medicaid income limits are based on your coverage group. The income and asset limits are updated each year. The only way to know for sure if you are eligible is to apply. ​​

Income Limits

Use these income limits if you apply for Medicaid through Maryland Health Connection.

You may still be eligible if your income is higher than the limit listed. There are some exceptions to countable income when figuring out if you are eligible. 

Call the Maryland Health Connection for help with your income limit amount if you have more than eight household members. ​

Use these limits if you are aged 65+, blind or disabled, or are in a Home and Community-Based Service program. 

You may still be eligible if your income or assets are higher than the limits listed. There are some exceptions to countable income when figuring out if you are eligible. 

Call the Department of Human Services​ for help with your income and asset limit amount if you have more than eight household members.

Employed Individuals with Disabilities (EID) Program

There is no maximum income limit for this program. 

You may still be eligible if your assets are higher than the limits listed. We do not count certain types or specific amounts of assets when deciding if you are eligible.
