​​The Public Health Services Administration (PHS) envisions a future in which all Marylanders and their families enjoy optimal health and well-being.​

PHS oversees vital public health services to Maryland residents, including infectious disease control and prevention, environmental health, maternal, child, and family health, food safety, health care quality, and vital records, as well as the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, State Anatomy Board, and activities of the 24 local health departments in the state. ​​​​​​
