NEW: CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION:
05/06/2020 - Public Notice
The Maryland Department of Health has provided information about the - Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Outbreak
The Board of Residential Child Care Program Professionals remains open to process applications for licensing during this time, however, we are unable to proctor examinations at our Board location. The Board does allow private provider agencies to proctor comprehensive exams for the Residential Child and Youth Care Practitioner (RCYCP) at offsite locations if an agency (1) meets the computer system requirements and (2) completes a Proctoring Agreement.
If your application is complete and you are interested in scheduling your comprehensive Residential Child and Youth Care Practitioner exam at one of the approved offsite agencies, please contact Board Staff at Janay.Knox1@maryland.gov for further information and instructions.
Also, please note to ensure limited interruption with Program Administrator certifications during the current Stay At Home order only, the Board has approved agencies the opportunity to administer the Program Administrator exam onsite. Once the Stay at Home order is lifted, Program Administrator candidates will need to take their test at the Board office location.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Board Staff by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Effective March 12, 2020, the Board for the Certification of Residential Child Care Program Professional office is closed to the public per Governor Hogan’s Executive Order.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board will not be accepting any walk-in applications, documents or testing. We will be implementing a period of modification and will be functioning in a limited service.
We appreciate your patience during this rapidly changing situation.
Please continue to monitor the Maryland Department of Health website for updates on the CORONAVIRUS DISEASE information.
