Continuing Education Requirement
Remember that a part of the renewal process is the continuing education unit/credit (CEU) requirement. Licensees are required to earn no less than 30 CEU’s every two (2) years. Proof of CEU compliance (the actual certificates or notices of successful completion) need only be submitted when:
-
a Licensee is randomly chosen for an audit; or
-
a Licensee misses the normal renewal and grace periods, requiring the completion of the license reinstatement process to legally practice.
Licensees are typically notified of their selection to participate in the renewal audit by email and mail.
Implicit Bias Training Requirement
If you have not already taken a course, please visit the
Implicit Bias Training Information page for more information. If you have taken one course between 2021 - 2025 you have satisfied the past requirement. Effective 2026, all healthcare professionals must comply with a new one-time training requirement. More information will be shared closer to the implementation start date.
