Notice of Proposed Action
The Secretary of Health proposes to amend
Regulation .06 under COMAR 10.60.02 Licensing
Procedures. This action was considered by the Board of Environmental Health
Specialists at a public meeting held on August 1, 2018, notice of which was
given by publication on the Board’s website at
https://health.maryland.gov/behs/Pages/default.aspx pursuant to General
Provisions Article, §3–302(c), Annotated Code of Maryland.
Statement of Purpose
The purpose of
this action is to remove the late renewal language from regulation since it is
not supported by Health Occupations Article, Title 21, AnnotatedCode

There is no corresponding
federal standard to this proposed action.

.06 Renewal of
[C. Late Renewal. A license holder may apply for late renewal of a license by
submitting the following to the Board within 30 days after the expiration date
of the license:
(1) A written
request for renewal on a form provided by the Board;
that the applicant has satisfied the training requirement set forth in §A of
this regulation; and
Payment of the license renewal fee and the late renewal fee established by
