| Definitions | Endodontics | Endodontics is the branch of dentistry which is concerned with the morphology, physiology and pathology of the human dental pulp and periradicular tissues. Its study and practice encompass the basic and clinical sciences including biology of the normal pulp, the etiology, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries of the pulp and associated periradicular conditions. Currently, once completed you will not need to complete again. This must be completed before renewal or reinstatement.

| Dental Radiation Technologist | Reinstatement of a Lapsed Certificate | 1. How do I reinstate a lapsed Dental Radiation Technologist Certificate? An individual holding an expired certificate may apply for reinstatement. The individual must complete a reinstatement application under the Lincensure Information tab. Once on the page, all applications can be found under the tab Forms and Applications. Please follow the steps on the checklist to ensure all required documents are will the application. 2. How long does it take to receive my certificate? Once all documents required are received, please allow 1-2 weeks for processing.

4. Why am I required to complete all continuing education classes by December 31st of the year preceding the year that my license is due for renewal?
The Board conducts a random audit of dentists and dental hygienists to determine whether they have completed their continuing education courses prior to obtaining their renewal license. Dentists and dental hygienists who have not completed their continuing education courses by December 31st may ask for a 6-month extension. Dentists and dental hygienists are not permitted to renew their license unless they have completed 30 hours of required continuing education.
5. Must my required CPR course be an in-person course?
At the present time, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the CPR course may be completed on-line. The Board will advise its licensees if the situation changes and afford its licensees sufficient time to complete the course in-person.

An individual holding an expired general license to practice dentistry or dental hygiene may apply for reinstatement by filling out a reinstatement application found under Licensure Information tab at the top of the page. A licensee who applies for reactivation of a dental or dental hygienist license shall submit to the Board a reactivation application and complete all steps in the application.
