LOCATION OF POSITION MDH, Western Maryland Hospital Center, Hagerstown MD
Main Purpose Of Job This recruitment is for five part-time contractual positions. The positions will be responsible for: covering a routine security shift, as assigned; conducting security rounds of the facility; checking the physical security of premises; checking fire extinguishers and other safety equipment; reporting any safety or security related defects or anomalies; and, accessing CCTV monitors for the premises and parking lots. The positions will remain on call to any emergency at the facility, as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Ability to read and write.
Experience: Six months of experience in building security work.
Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Master-At-Arms classifications or law enforcement specialty codes in the site security field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of an automobile. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Employees in this classification are subject to call 24 hours a day and, therefore, will be required to provide the employer with a telephone number where they can be reached.
2. Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 06.01.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.

BENEFITS Contractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program, have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.
Leave may be granted to a contractual employee who has worked 120 days in a 12 month period. This leave accrues at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.

PHYSICIAN PROGRAM MANAGER III (Chief Medical Officer) #20-004610-0001
Main Purpose Of Job
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is a member of the facility’s Leadership Council, which reports to the Governing Body, and is actively engaged in defining the strategic planning goals and objectives of the organization. The person is this position serves as the Medical Director and is the ultimate decision making on clinical policy. They will work with clinical leaders and supervisors in the executive management and administration of all clinical departments, programs and services for the facility. This position is responsible for the delivery of safe and high-quality patient/resident care, management of physician and clinical services, clinical quality and performance improvement activities, and licensure and accreditation activities. This position also chairs medical staff committees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must possess: A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited college or university; Successful completion of an accredited residency program Licensure and registration with the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under Maryland State law; Current Board Certification; Successful completion of a curriculum in physician management or administration from ADMD – The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine or equivalent; Five (5) years of clinical practice experience; and, and at least two (2) years of experience or specialized training in the medical care of geriatric or chronically ill and impaired individuals.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred candidates should possess: Experience and training providing rehabilitation physician services; Experience managing physicians and clinical disciplines; and, Working knowledge of electronic medical records.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of the required general experience.
