Who We Are

The Infectious Disease Prevention & Health Services Bureau (IDPHSB​) is Maryland's response to sexually transmitted infections, including but not limited to HIV and viral hepatitis. IDPHSB works with local health departments and community organizations to meet the sexual health needs of all Marylanders.​​

Notice of Opportunity for Public Inspection and Comment


In accordance with the Regulatory Review and Evaluation Act, State Government Article, §§ 10-130—10-139, Annotated Code of Maryland, the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) is reviewing and evaluating certain regulations codified within Title 10 of the Code of Maryland Regulations. The purpose of the review and evaluation is to determine whether existing regulations continue to accomplish the purposes for which they were adopted, clarify ambiguous or unclear language, and repeal obsolete or duplicative provisions.


The regulations being reviewed are:


Subtitle 18 HUMAN IMMUNODEFICIENCY VIRUS (HIV) INFECTION AND ACQUIRED IMMUNODEFICIENCY SYNDROME (AIDS)

COMAR 10.18.01 Maryland AIDS Drug Assistance Program: Temporary Assistance Program;

Subtitle 52 PREVENTIVE MEDICINE

COMAR 10.52.04 Condom Vending Machines;

COMAR 10.52.08 Maryland AIDS Drug Assistance Program Fund; and

COMAR 10.52.10 HIV and Hepatitis C Testing of Persons Accused or Convicted, or Both, of Certain Crimes.
