The Center for Cancer Prevention and Control is housed in the Promotion and Health Promotion Administration’s Cancer and Chronic Disease Bureau. The mission of the Center is to reduce the burden of cancer in Maryland by:
Providing guidance, support and funding for effective cancer programs;
Fostering collaboration among partners; and
Evaluating outcomes through data collection and analysis.
The Center receives and administers federal, state, and special funding to implement its programs.
The Center for Cancer Prevention and Control is made up of the following units:
