    Google Translate Disclaimer

    The Maryland Department of Information Technology (“DoIT”) offers translations of the content through Google Translate. Because Google Translate is an external website, DoIT does not control the quality or accuracy of translated content. All DoIT content is filtered through Google Translate which may result in unexpected and unpredictable degradation of portions of text, images and the general appearance on translated pages. Google Translate may maintain unique privacy and use policies. These policies are not controlled by DoIT and are not associated with DoIT’s privacy and use policies. After selecting a translation option, users will be notified that they are leaving DoIT’s website. Users should consult the original English content on DoIT’s website if there are any questions about the translated content.

    DoIT uses Google Translate to provide language translations of its content. Google Translate is a free, automated service that relies on data and technology to provide its translations. The Google Translate feature is provided for informational purposes only. Translations cannot be guaranteed as exact or without the inclusion of incorrect or inappropriate language.     Soccer Stars William Vanzella and Rachel Campanaro Invite Youth Soccer Players to ‘Get a Shot to Take a Shot’ 

    BALTIMORE, MD – Local soccer stars William Vanzella and Rachel Campanaro and the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) are inviting local youth soccer players to join them for an opportunity to get free COVID-19 vaccines and try their luck shooting a goal against a professional. 

    The event will take place on Wednesday, June 23, at Chapelgate Christian Academy, located at 2600 Marriottsville Road, Marriottsville, MD 21104.

    “Kids 12 and older, and their parents, can come by to get a COVID-19 vaccine and kick the ball around,” said Rachel Campanaro, former USA youth national team member, professional player and owner of Soccer by Rachel. “Kids can also try their luck at scoring a goal against William.”

    “All kids are welcome to take a shot,” said William Vanzella, a professional goalkeeper with the Baltimore Blast, MVP, and World Cup player. “But I can’t guarantee that you’re going to score.”

    Appointments for the vaccination clinic will start at 12:00 pm, and the soccer shootout will begin at 1:30 pm. The event’s vaccine clinic will feature the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, which is authorized for patients ages 12 and older.

    “You never know who might show up to see the action or even jump in as a referee,” said Rachel. “Come out and join us – you don’t want to miss your shot.”
