    Media Advisory: List of COVID-19 Testing Sites in Operation This Week – Winter Storm Will Impact Operations Statewide Monday, potentially Tuesday

    Baltimore, MD – The Maryland Department of Health (MDH), local jurisdictions, and their partners operate many COVID-19 testing sites throughout the state which will be  impacted by the incoming winter storm. Please note testing sites closures listed below for tomorrow, Monday, February 1 -  including state-operated sites at Annapolis and Baltimore Convention Center.

    As the situation develops, there may be further impacts on testing operations on Tuesday, February 2 and possibly beyond. Please verify your site operation before your visit, and consider rescheduling if conditions are hazardous.

    Vaccination sites across the state (not listed here) are operating on an appointment-only basis at this time, and Marylanders who have vaccination appointments can expect their vaccination provider to contact them directly regarding any schedule changes. When in doubt, contact the vaccination provider directly to verify its operating hours and inclement weather procedures.

    MDH continues to encourage the following individuals to get COVID-19 tests:

    • Symptomatic individuals;

    • All who suspect exposure, including those who are asymptomatic;

    • Individuals who are at risk of exposure, including workers in frequent contact with the public in health care, emergency services, food and grocery, retail or manufacturing, public transportation, educational, and other congregate settings;

    • Individuals who have been in large gatherings; and

    • Individuals who have traveled recently, including those who have traveled to a state with a COVID-19 test positivity rate above ten percent or a case rate over 20 per 100,000.

    The following testing sites are scheduled to operate this week:

    No Appointment or Doctor’s Order Required

     

    Maryland Department of Health Sites:

    • Annapolis - Calvert & Bladen Streets (Anne Arundel) – Appointments can be made Wednesday, February 3 and Thursday, February 4, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Closed Monday, February 1, for inclement weather. 

    • Baltimore Convention Center (Baltimore City) – Open Wednesday, February 3 and Friday, February 5, 8 a.m.– 12 p.m. each day; Tuesday, February 2 and Thursday, February 4, 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. Closed Monday, February 1, for inclement weather. Tuesday operations will be evaluated tomorrow (February 1) based on weather conditions.

    NOTE: Six Flags America (Prince George’s) is no longer operating as a COVID-19 testing site, and Baltimore Convention Center has implemented  new hours for testing. Six Flags site is scheduled to reopen this week as a State COVID-19 vaccination site. More information will be released this week. Appointments for both testing sites are not required but are strongly encouraged. Visit COVIDtest.Maryland.gov to schedule.

    Allegany County Health Department Site:

    • Allegany County Fairgrounds (11000 Moss Ave., Cumberland) – Open Monday, February 1 (weather permitting); Wednesday, February 3; and Friday, February 5, 8 a.m.–2 p.m. each day.

    Anne Arundel County Department of Health Site -No Appointment:

    • Deale Elks Lodge (6022 Drum Point Rd.) – Open Wednesday, February 3 and Friday, February 5, 9 a.m.–3 p.m. both days. Ages 10 and older.

    NOTE: Anne Arundel County’s no-appointment sites operate on a “first come, first served” basis while test kits are available. Visit AAHealth.org/COVID9-Testing to find hours of operation and other information about Anne Arundel County testing sites.

    Baltimore City Health Department Sites:

    • Zeta Center (4501 Reisterstown Rd.) – Open Tuesday, February 2, 10 a.m.–1 p.m., weather permitting

    • Waxter Center (1000 Cathedral Street) – Open Thursday, February 4 and Friday, February 5, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., weather permitting

    NOTE: Testing on Tuesday, February 2, may be canceled due to adverse weather conditions. These are outdoor testing sites please dress accordingly. Additional testing locations in Baltimore City and information on closures can be found at https://coronavirus.baltimorecity.gov/where-get-tested-covid-9-baltimore-city.

     Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Sites:

    • Wheaton Library and Community Recreation Center (Georgia Ave.) – Tuesday, February 2 and Wednesday, February 3, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. each day; Friday, February 5, 2 p.m. – 6p.m.

    • Silver Spring Civic Building ( Veteran's Plaza) – Open Thursday, February 4, 12 noon-6 p.m.


    NOTE: In addition to the standing sites listed above, Montgomery County DHHS will operate several temporary sites in cooperation with local partners each week. There will be no COVID-19 testing on Monday, February 1, in Montgomery County DHHS testing sites due to inclement weather. To find a complete list of sites and hours of operation, and to schedule an appointment, visit MoCoCOVIDTesting.org. Appointments are not required but are strongly encouraged. 

    Prince George’s County Health Department Sites:

    • First United Methodist Church of Hyattsville (Belcrest Rd.) – Open Monday, February 1; Thursday, February 4 and Saturday, February 6, 9 a.m.–3 p.m. each day, weather permitting.

    • Ft. Washington - Adventist Medical Group (Indian Head Hwy.) – Open Monday, February 1; Tuesday, February 2 and Friday, February 5, 7:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m. each day.

    NOTE:  Weather closures had not been determined as of this report. Please check the website prior to visiting to ensure the site is operating. Testing is no longer offered at Health Department Headquarters (1701 McCormick Drive, Largo), the D. Leonard Dyer Regional Health Center (9314 Piscataway Road, Clinton) and the Roseu Medical Center (14402 Baltimore Avenue Laurel).

     

    Somerset County Health Department Site:

    • Princess Anne - Washington High School (10902 Old Princess Anne Rd.) – Open Tuesday, February 2, 9 a.m.– 3 p.m., weather permitting.  NOTE: These are walk-in, indoor events. Masks are required.

    Baltimore County Department of Health Sites: 

    • Randallstown - Liberty Family Resource Center (Resource Dr.) – Closed Monday, February 1, for expected inclement weather.

    • Timonium Fairgrounds (York Rd.) – Open Tuesday, February 2  and Thursday, February 4, 9 a.m.–12 noon each day. Until further notice, this site will not be providing COVID-19 testing on Fridays. Appointments preferred, but residents will not be turned away.

    • Randallstown – New Antioch Baptist Church (Old Court Road) – Open Wednesday, February 3 and Friday, February 5, 9 a.m. – 12 noon both days.

    NOTE: Unless otherwise noted, registration is required for testing at all county health department testing locations. Schedule online at BaltimoreCountyMD.gov/COVIDTest.

    Carroll County Health Department Site:

    • Westminster - Carroll County Agricultural Center (Agricultural Center Dr.) – Open Tuesday, February 2, weather permitting; Thursday, February 4; and Sunday, February 7, 9 a.m.–12 noon each day.

    Charles County Department of Health Site:

    Harford County Health Department Site:

    • Aberdeen - University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (McHenry Rd.) –Tuesday, February 2; Wednesday, February 3; and Friday, February 5, 8 a.m.–12 noon each day; and Thursday, February 4, 3 p.m.–7 p.m.

    Howard County General Hospital and the Howard County Health Department will offer free COVID-19 testing in neighborhoods throughout Howard County this fall.     University of Maryland Shore Regional Health Site:

    NOTE: There are several testing sites throughout the state that are operated by organizations other than MDH and its partners. The above list is not an exhaustive list of all testing sites in the state.
