    Media Advisory: List of COVID-19 Testing Sites in Operation This Week Thanksgiving Holiday Closures

    Baltimore, MD – The Maryland Department of Health (MDH), local jurisdictions, and their partners operate several COVID-19 testing sites throughout the state. The operating status of select testing sites for this week is listed below. Testing sites not listed here may follow different schedules.

    Many testing sites will operate on a reduced schedule this week in observance of Thanksgiving. Patients are always encouraged to verify site hours by calling ahead when planning to take a test.

    MDH continues to encourage the following individuals to get COVID-19 tests:

    • Symptomatic individuals;

    • All who suspect exposure, including those who are asymptomatic;

    • Individuals who are at risk of exposure, including workers in frequent contact with the public in health care, emergency services, food and grocery, retail or manufacturing, public transportation, educational, and other congregate settings;

    • Individuals who have been in large gatherings; and

    • Individuals who have traveled recently, including those who have traveled to a state with a COVID-19 test positivity rate above ten percent or a case rate over 20 per 100,000.

    The following testing sites are scheduled to operate this week:

    No Appointment or Doctor’s Order Required

    Maryland Department of Health Sites:

    • NEW HOURS: Annapolis - Calvert & Bladen Streets (Anne Arundel) – Open Tuesday, November 24 and Friday, November 27, 8 a.m.–12 p.m. both days

    • THANKSGIVING HOURS: Baltimore Convention Center (Baltimore City) – Open Monday, November 23 and Wednesday, November 25, 8 a.m.–2 p.m. both days 

    NOTE: The Baltimore Convention Center site will be closed on Friday, November 27 in observance of Thanksgiving. Appointments are not required but are strongly encouraged. Visit COVIDtest.Maryland.gov to schedule. 

    • THANKSGIVING HOURS: Six Flags America (Prince George’s) – Open Monday, November 23, 2 p.m.–6 p.m. and Friday, November 27, 8 a.m.–12 noon 

    NOTE: The Six Flags site will be closed on Wednesday, November 25 in observance of Thanksgiving. For an even easier testing experience or to request accommodations, patients now have the option to pre-register for their test at Six Flags. The site also continues to accept patients without appointments.

    Allegany County Health Department Sites:

    • Allegany County Fairgrounds (11400 Moss Ave., Cumberland) – Open Monday, November 23, 2 p.m.–7 p.m.; and Wednesday, November 25 and Friday, November 27, 8 a.m.–2 p.m. each day

    Anne Arundel County Department of Health Sites (No Appointment):

    • Deale Elks Lodge (6022 Drum Point Rd., Deale) – Open Wednesday, November 25 and Friday, November 27, 9 a.m.–3 p.m. both days

    • THANKSGIVING HOURS: Hanover - Joe Cannon Stadium (7551 Teague Rd., Hanover) – Open Tuesday, November 24, 9 a.m.–12 p.m.

    NOTE: The Joe Cannon site will be closed on Thursday, November 26 in observance of Thanksgiving Day. Anne Arundel County’s no-appointment sites operate on a “first come, first served” basis.     Baltimore City Health Department Sites:

    • Bayview Pharmacy (6510 O’Donnell St.) – Open Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24, 9 a.m.–12 p.m. both days, weather permitting

    NOTE: The Pimlico Race Course testing site has closed for the winter season. Additional testing locations in Baltimore City can be found at https://coronavirus.baltimorecity.gov/where-get-tested-covid-19-baltimore-city.

    Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Sites: 

    • THANKSGIVING HOURS: Germantown Recreation Center (Kingsview Dr.) – Open Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. both days

    • THANKSGIVING HOURS: Silver Spring Civic Building (Fenton St.) – Open Monday, November 23, 12 p.m.–6 p.m.

    • Wheaton Library and Community Recreation Center (Georgia Ave.) – Open Monday, November 23 and Wednesday, November 25, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. both days

    • THANKSGIVING HOURS: White Oak Community Center (April Ln.) – Open Tuesday, November 24, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. 

    NOTE: All Montgomery County sites will be closed on Thursday, November 26 in observance of Thanksgiving Day. In addition to the standing sites listed above, Montgomery County DHHS will operate several temporary sites in cooperation with local partners each week.     • Howard County General Hospital and the Howard County Health Department will offer free COVID-19 testing in places of worship throughout Howard County this fall.     University of Maryland Shore Regional Health Site:

    • Wye Mills - Chesapeake College (Queen Anne’s) – Open Monday, November 23 and Wednesday, November 25, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. both days.
