This year, we encourage Marylanders to save 988 in their phones, share it with someone they care about, and use the day as an opportunity to start conversations about mental health, hope, and reaching out early. If you would like to help spread the word about 988, navigate to our Digital Materials section for social media posts to share on your platforms. We hope you will join us in saving lives across Maryland.
Included in the toolkit are resources and media templates that can be shared widely, such as:
September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and there are many ways to connect with ourselves, with one another and with the communities around us. Across Maryland, people are coming together for walks, trainings, community gatherings, virtual events and more, creating opportunities to learn something new, meet others, spend time with people we care about and be part of something meaningful. Whether you’re looking to learn, reflect, recharge, take action or simply connect, we hope you’ll find an opportunity that feels right for you and join us this September.
