How to with Workday Learning

Log in to Workday Learning​​​​

    1. ​Log in to Workday​ just as you would when entering time information
    2. Click the MENU button in the upper left corner of the screen
    3. Click Learning

Access your transcript

    1. Click Learning from the MENU button
    2. Click the down arrow next to the Links option (if needed)
    3. Click My Transcript

There are 3 sections to the transcript: Not Started, In Progress, and Learning History.

    • Not Started – If the Content Type for a course says Digital, that is an online course, and you should complete it. If it says Blended, that likely is an instructor-led course that you are scheduled to attend.
    • In Progress – Any course listed here is likely to be an online course that you should complete.
    • ​Learning History – This shows the courses that have been completed, with completion dates.

Discover Trainings for MDH Employees

 

This quick video guides you through the steps to easily locate MDH training sessions. 
Start from your Workday home page. Look at the navigation menu on the left side of your screen and click on the Personal icon. Once the menu opens, select the "Discover" option. From there, click on "Browse Learning" to view the full catalog of available courses.

The catalog contains training options from across the state. To narrow down the selections to those specifically for MDH, simply type "MDH" into the search bar at the top of the page. You can also add a partial search term to further refine your results. 

​If you already know the specific class you want to take, you can find it even faster. On either the 'Browse Learning Content' page or your main Workday 'Start' page, search by typing 'MDH' followed by a partial or full title of the course."​


Enroll in a Sexual Harassment Prevention in the Workplace Webinar​

  1. ​Log into Workday
  2. Search for "lrn: MDH sexual"​
  3. Click on "MDH - Virtual Sexual Harassment"  
  4. Review the available offerings and choose a date that works for you to enroll.​

​ Drop Enrollment

    1. Select "Learning" from the menu to access the Learning dashboard.
    2. Navigate to "My Learning" and look for the class you want to drop under​ ​the "Continue Learning" section, or use the search bar to find it.
    3. Click on the name of the course to view the course details.
    4. On the course details page, click the option to "Drop Course."
​Please note: Employees cannot drop a training course that has been assigned to them.​

​Steps to view Transcripts of Direct Reports

  1. Click Menu (upper left corner of screen)
  2. Scroll down to Team/My Team, and click
  3. Click the employee’s name
  4. Click Career, and then Learning
This will then show the 3 sections of their transcript:
a. Not Started – courses registered for or enroll in
b. In Progress – courses that have begun but are not completed
c. Learning History – listing of completed courses​


​Is there a course you’ve been assigned to complete?

​​​​Click the ​BELLnotification-bell.pngon the top right of the screen. ​​ Learning tasks will be listed there.
