Maryland Department of Health - Office of Human Resources
The Office of Human Resources provides human resources support to employees in the Maryland Department of Health including planning, developing and implementing policies, programs, standards and consultative services for managers and employees.
The Office of Human Resources is comprised of the following units:
Director's Office - The Office of the Director is responsible for providing guidance and oversight of human resource services for state employees of the Maryland Department of Health.
Employee Relations - The mission of the Employee Relations Division is to provide the management of MDH with the appropriate advice, assistance and training on all disciplinary matters, grievances, and employer/employee relations issues.
Employment Services Division - The Employment Services Division provides a full range of personnel services to the employees of the Department's Headquarters programs and county health departments. The Employment Services Division is available to provide information and assistance to the general public regarding job opportunities within the Maryland Department of Health.
Payroll and Timekeeping Division - The Payroll and Timekeeping Division provides support in policy administration, leave documentation, shift differential and overtime authorization review. The Payroll and Timekeeping Division is responsible for processing time and gross payroll for all MDH employees.
Recruitment Eligibility, Outreach and Classification Division - The Recruitment Eligibility, Outreach and Classification Division provides recruitment, examination, and classification support for MDH. The Classification Division provides support for all classification and compensation issues, including reclassifications and reorganizations.
Training Services Division – The Training Services provides statewide training and management development for all units within MDH.
