The nursing department is a part of an interdisciplinary team that provides patients / residents with an in-depth assessment on admission that continues to be updated throughout hospitalization.

Nursing acts on the belief that patients / residents have the final responsibility to manage their lives; that given the resources, education and support they can do so in a fashion that is personally satisfying, fulfilling and allows them to interact in society in a healthy manner.

Nursing will assist patients / residents in this process by providing a therapeutic milieu in which healthy behaviors can be learned and mastered. These healthy behaviors will enable the patient / resident to be successful in the community.​​
