What does this service do?
Respite Care Services are temporary supports that give a person and their family, or other primary caregiver, a break from daily routines based on their need. Respite can be planned or used in an emergency situation.
Respite Care can be provided in:
- A person's home
- A respite care provider's home
- A licensed residential site
- A State-certified camp
- Other places approved by the DDA
Respite care does not include fees like membership fees at a recreational facility, community activities, travel or insurance.
