Financial Management and Counseling Services providers support individuals who choose to self-direct. With the help of a Coordinator of Community Services (CCS) and other team members, participants choose a Financial Management and Counseling Services provider. The Financial Management and Counseling Services provider assists participants with employer and budget related hiring, accounting, and payroll activities. Financial Management and Counseling Services providers are required to provide services outlined by the Maryland Department of Health (MDH). Each Financial Management and Counseling Services provider may also offer different tools and additional support for participants and their team. Financial Management and Counseling Services providers have monthly fees that are paid from participants' self-directed budgets. Each Financial Management and Counseling Services provider has a different monthly fee.

Financial Management and Counseling Services providers have monthly fees that are paid from participants' self-directed budgets. The fees increase every year on July 1 as noted below.
