​WIC is a federally funded program that provides healthy foods and nutrition counseling to pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children under five.
  • Women in the program eat better and have healthier babies.
  • Babies born to WIC mothers weigh more and develop more successfully
  • Children participating in WIC eat nutritious foods high in iron and vitamin C. This helps build strong minds and bodies

WIC Participants Learn How To:

  • Use foods to improve your family's health.
  • Get information on healthy lifestyles for pregnant women
  • Breastfeed successfully
  • Help your children learn to eat healthy foods
  • Use your WIC checks to buy food at the grocery store
  • Obtain health and social services

If eligible you will receive nutrition information, referrals to other services, and checks to buy food

Approved foods include:

  • Milk
  • 100% Juice
  • Peanut Butter
  • Cheese
  • Eggs
  • Dried beans and peas
  • Cereal
  • Whole grain breads
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: http://www.ascr.usda.gov/complaint_filing_cust.html, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. To request a copy of the complaint form, call (866) 632-9992. Submit your completed form or letter to USDA by:
