• Preparing for a Maryland Statewide HealthCare Workforce Data Clearing House - State and National landscape Findings ​  ***NEW***​
  

• The Maryland Department of Health and health care workforce development stakeholders have identified benefits of planning and establishing a Maryland statewide healthcare workforce data clearinghouse to serve as a central repository of data related to the healthcare workforce serving Maryland residents. To this end, MDH, in conjunction with vendor assistance, has conducted an exploratory landscape analysis on available healthcare workforce data clearinghouse models consisting of literature review and interviews with representatives of successful healthcare workforce data clearinghouses in other states.

• ​2018 Maryland Rural Health Plan​
• ​​​With a collaboration between the Maryland Rural Health Association (MRHA), the Maryland Department of Health (MDH), the Rural Maryland Council (RMC), and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) the 2018 Maryland Rural Health Plan was created. The health plan is a collaborative document that synthesizes data from multiple sources, such as county health plans, the State Health Improvement Process (SHIP), and feedback from citizens in rural counties, among others. The 2018 Maryland Rural Health Plan highlighted six areas of need including access to care, sustainable funding mechanisms for health care services, care coordination, chronic disease prevention and management, health literacy and health insurance literacy, and outreach and education.
