Immediate Postpartum Long-Acting Reversible Contraception
Main_Content
The
Immediate Postpartum Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (IPP LARC) toolkit
was created through the collaboration of the Maryland Department of Health and Obstetrician/Gynecologists at Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital. The purpose of the toolkit is to provide guidance for the provision of
IPP LARC
in Maryland hospitals. This document and associated materials address considerations for integration of
IPP LARC
into existing workflows and protocols. The toolkit aims to provide hospitals with technical assistance as they integrate
IPP LARC
into routine practice. This toolkit is not to be considered medical advice about contraceptive choices or use. Individuals who have questions should seek guidance from their gynecologist or primary care provider.
For other questions regarding the
IPP LARC
program, please send an email to
mdh.mchb@maryland.gov
. Please type 'LARC' in the subject line.
