Overview:

Module # 12 discusses the indications of when the baby is unable to feed at the breast and provides techniques for breast milk expression as well as alternative feeding methods to support breastfeeding.

Objectives:

Identify indications and provide techniques for breast milk expression.
Identify medical reasons for supplementation and provide alternative feeding methods.
Provide teaching tips on breast milk hand expression and milk storage guidelines.
Promote using milk from another mother (donor milk).
Provide techniques for breast milk expression.

Content:

Be sure to complete the pre-test prior to watching the module and the post-test after completion to document that you have completed the training.
