Prescribers

The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) provides no cost-access to patient controlled substances (CS) prescription information collected by the Office of the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP). Access is available to physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and other providers who provide medical care to patients with whom they have an existing treatment relationship with. To gain access to PDMP data to support patient care, prescribers can register with CRISP by clicking HERE

A prescriber may also identify one or more delegates to access prescription information on their behalf. Delegates include a non-prescribing licensed healthcare practitioner (i.e., a registered nurse or a licensed alcohol and drug abuse counselor) OR a staff member, regardless of license status, who is employed by or under contract with the same practice as the prescriber. For more information, please see the CRISP Delegator Fact Sheet and User Guide.
