Photo Release: Maryland Department of Health hosts the Community Bond Grants Workshop
Baltimore, MD – The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) Office of Facilities Management and Development (OFMD) today hosted the 10th annual Community Bond Grants: Mission Toward Affordable Housing and Recovery Workshop at the Maryland Department of Transportation headquarters in Hanover, MD.

More than 70 attendees learned about MDH’s Community Health Facilities and Federally Qualified Health Centers grant programs that fund projects to expand affordable housing and community-based services for Marylanders with mental illnesses, developmental disabilities and substance abuse disorders.
MDH will award a total of $8 million in grants for the Community Health Facilities and Federally Qualified Health Centers programs for FY 2022. The deadline to submit a project is April 16. Approved projects receive funding in 2021.

MDH’s OFMD, Behavioral Health Administration, Developmental Disabilities Administration and Office of Primary Care review and recommend projects to receive funding in the Governor’s Capital Budget. Along with projects that expand affording housing opportunities, MDH encourages project submissions that support community integration and transitional services for youth and people in addiction recovery.
