Maryland Department Of Health Hosts Career Fair

Event for Potential Employees to Learn More About the Department’s Public Health Positions

 

BALTIMORE, MD (October 18, 2018) – The Maryland Department of Health will host its third annual Career Fair and Open House on Tuesday, Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the lobby of the Herbert R. O'Conor State Office Building. located at 201 W. Preston St., Baltimore, MD 21201.

The purpose of this event is to provide job seekers and students a chance to learn more about the Department through the experiences of current employees, as well as information about the positions and careers offered. Tuesday’s event will afford Marylanders the chance to hear about careers from representatives of divisions and programs from within the Department. Prospective employees will be able to take advantage of several break-out sessions that will afford attendees the chance to have their questions about the Department answered.

 

The Department employs professionals in a wide variety of fields. When people think of the Maryland Department of Health, they may only think of health occupations — such as doctors and nurses — but the Department is very diverse, with employees serving in many additional capacities, from accountants to cooks to social workers.
