VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR CAR SEAT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Baltimore, MD (February 26, 2013) -- Maryland Kids In Safety Seats (KISS) is seeking health care organizations, faith-based communities, family-service agencies, or individuals interested in establishing Car Seat Assistance Programs (CSAP) in Baltimore City and Baltimore and Harford counties. This Program helps qualifying families unable to afford a car seat or booster seat to purchase one at a low cost and provides education about how to use it properly.
There is no cost to start up the Program. All that is needed are interested volunteers and a closet/small storage area for the supplies. MD KISS supports the CSAPs by providing volunteer training, start-up car seats, educational materials and car seat supplies, and on-going programming and technical assistance.
For additional information about setting up a KISS Car Seat Assistance Program in your area, please contact Maryland Kids in Safety Seats 800-370-SEAT (7328) or by email
