The Maryland Medicaid Managed Care Quality Strategy promotes setting measurable goals and targets for improvement over time in various quality assurance areas and the strategy evaluates progress towards those goals over time.
States operating managed care programs are required to provide a quality strategy and update it every three years. For more information, see 42 CFR 438.340.
