Your Benefits and Services
Medicaid covers a wide range of health care benefits and services. Some include:
- Behavioral health care
- Dental care
- Doctor visits
- Inpatient and outpatient hospital services
- Lab work and X-rays
- Medical equipment and certain supplies
- Prescription drugs, if not eligible for Medicare Part D
- Substance use treatment
- Transportation to medical care
- Vision care
You will get a Medicaid member card in the mail. Keep the card with you. You will need it when you make an appointment or get a prescription. You should not pay out of pocket for a medically necessary covered benefit.
Tip: Save your Medicaid card as a photo on your phone. Then save it to your favorites. This way you will always have your Medicaid information handy.

Your Dental Care
You will get your Medicaid dental care through our Maryland Healthy Smiles Dental Program. You will get a member card and manual for this program in the mail. Keep the card with you. You will need it when you make an appointment. You should not pay out of pocket for a medically necessary covered benefit.
