Maryland Beneficiary Advisory Council

​What is the Beneficiary Advisory Council​?

The Beneficiary Advisory Council (BAC) is a group of people with direct Medicaid experience who help make sure that Maryland Medicaid works well for the people it serves.

The Council gives advice to the Maryland Department of Health. Members share their ideas and experiences to help improve Medicaid services and make sure everyone gets the care they need. The BAC works closely with the Maryland Medicaid Advisory Committee​.

What Do the BAC Members Do?

The council members:

  • Share ideas to help improve Medicaid services.
  • Talk about problems people have getting care.
  • Give feedback on new Medicaid programs or changes.
  • Help make sure services are fair and work for everyone.

Who Can Join the Council?

You can apply if you are:

  • A current or former Medicaid member.
  • A parent or caregiver of a Medicaid member.
