The Thomas B. Finan Center is a multilevel organization that has resources of staff, materials, and buildings to support local programs on campus. Willowbrook Square evolved out of a need to provide a less restrictive environment as a preparation for discharge to the community for a segment of the population on campus. It is independently licensed by the Office of Health Care Quality of the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as an assisted living facility. Agreements exist with various departments at the Center to provide resources to the facility. Its administration is quasi-independent of Thomas B. Finan Center.
