What Changed?
The Maryland Department of Health has made changes to the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) Medicaid waiver programs. On October 6, 2025, the Family Supports and Community Supports waivers were combined into one program called the Community Pathways Waiver.
This change is part of an official update (called a waiver amendment) approved by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. It will help make services easier to access, faster to receive, and more focused on each person's needs.
Marylanders receiving services through a waiver do not need to take any action, as they have been automatically transitioned to the Community Pathways Waiver program.
