Jurisprudence Examination

Information

The Board shall administer the Jurisprudence Examination in the English language with no provisions made by the Board to accommodate the examination in any foreign language. An Applicant who fails the Jurisprudence Examination three times may not retake the examination until the Board has reviewed the applicant's file and approved a retake.

The use of phones and certain other electronic devices as noted below is prohibited within the test rooms.

Prohibited devices include, but are not limited to:

  • Cell phones or smartphones
  • Audio players/recorders, tablets, laptops, notebooks, Google Glass, or any other personal computing devices
  • Separate timers of any type
  • Cameras or any other photographic equipment
  • Any devices, including digital watches that can be used to record, transmit, receive, or play back audio, photographic, text, or video content.

    If your device makes noise, or you are seen using it at any time, you may be dismissed immediately, and your scores can be canceled. The Board is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items, including electronic devices, while you are in the test center.
