Vaccines

Vaccines can prevent serious illness and help people live longer, healthier lives. They teach your body how to build protection against diseases.  Vaccines are well-tested and safe.

Children can get many vaccines from their doctor and some from a pharmacist. Older children and adults can get vaccines from their doctor or at a pharmacy. The Carroll County Health Department also offers many different types of vaccines and holds some vaccine clinics.

Different vaccines are recommended at different ages. The protection from some vaccines may fade over time, so you may need additional shots (boosters) over time. Vaccine recommendations for children, teens, and adults
